A good sandwich place right across the street from school? Count
me in!
The sandwich was delicious! It came in a warm baguette with
sweet sesame seeds on top, fresh from the oven. Although the roast beef was
really moist, almost to the point of being soggy, it went well with cole slaw.
Crispy, tender, creamy, sweet, salty, moist and dry. It's not that often you
get a mixture of these sensations in your mouth.
They warned me that a brewed coffee would take a long time to
make. I should have just heeded their warning and got a different drink. It
took 30 minutes for the coffee to finally finish brewing. The coffee was
strong, and they have a variety of add-ins on the table to the side of the
counter, which is why I'm probably not going to order the coffee here next
time. Stick to Starbucks for coffee!
So what's wrong with coming here to study? Disregarding the fact
that their coffee takes forever to make (I can't stay awake without caffeine),
the lighting is poor and the place is kind of noisy. I tried accessing their
internet, but their WiFi wasn't working during my visit. The other people on
their laptops had the same problem and were reading their books instead. The
place is quaint and comfortable and all, but it's not my type of study
environment.
The lady at the register was very nice and patient, and both of
the workers here were very polite and said goodbye to all of their customers as
they left.
